Terms.

Loop is a free, personal-scale knitting counter. By signing in, you're agreeing to these basic ground rules. They're short on purpose.

What Loop is

A web app for keeping track of where you are in a knitting project. It's free. There's no warranty. It's run by one person in their spare time. Treat it accordingly.

Your account

You sign in with Google. Loop uses your Google account ID, name, and email only for sign-in, display, and saving your private Loop records under the right account. Whoever can sign in to that Google account can see, change, or delete the projects under it — keep your Google account secure. If your account gets compromised, that's something to take up with Google.

Your stuff

Whatever you put into Loop — your projects, counts, notes, yarn details — is yours. I don't claim any rights to it. I'm not going to look through it, repost it, train a model on it, or sell it.

You can edit project names and delete individual project records. Deleting a project removes that project, its counters, reminders, notes, yarn details, needle details, and pattern reference from your saved Loop file. Deleting your account removes the whole saved file.

What you can't do

If you do any of that, I'll suspend the account. If it's bad enough, I'll delete it.

No warranty

Loop is provided “as is.” I do my best to keep it working, but it might break, lose data, or disappear entirely with little notice. Back up anything important to you. I'm not liable for lost stitches, missed deadlines, or stress-knitting your way through an outage.

Changes & shutdown

I might change Loop, pause it, or shut it down. If I plan to shut it down, I'll give a heads-up in the app and let you export your data first. If the terms change in a meaningful way, the “Effective” date at the top moves.

Where this lives, legally

Loop is operated from Canada. Canadian law applies to anything formal that needs resolving. Disputes go through Canadian courts.
